Friday 20th March (from bottom to top) - passing over Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda, see how the landscape changes so dramatically? The huge blue lake is Lake Victoria.
The Rwandan landscape (below) is divided up meticulously into farmed plots. The word rwanda in Kinyarwanda means big place which I thought was funny since it's a much smaller country than its neighbours Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania. Burundi translates as "the other place" and was used literally by colonials to name the country having asked the indigenous people what they called the land.
